I am 56 yr F. Disabled due to several, serious life threatening illnesses. My rent has been increased to more than twice my disability Medicaid payment.
I have exhausted every resource that I know of in Oahu, and outer islands. Because I am not struggling with an addiction, bi-polar, or yet 62, I have not found any housing options. I am supposed to be out by this Friday, 8/31. This site may be my last chance.
My illness has caused a sun sensitivity, so the prospect of homelessness, may be lethal to me. I am only one person with one story, but I wonder how many of us are in this situation?
