The Contemporary Museum-Honolulu
The Contemporary Museum is the only museum in Hawai`i that offers an exclusive collection of contemporary art. There are many educational, membership, and family programs.

VSA Arts - Hawai`i Site
VSA Arts - Hawai`i Pacific is an organization that is dedicated to promoting opportunities in the arts for individuals with disabilities. On their site you will find educational and professional opportunities in the arts. There are also calls for entry into art events.

The Bishop Museum
The Bishop Museum is known for having the largest collection of Hawai`ian artifacts, documents, and photographs related to the culture and history of Hawai`i and the Pacific Islands. There is a planetarium and a full schedule of educational programs.

Diamond Head Theatre
Diamond Head Theatre is known as Hawai`i's oldest performing arts theatre. The theatre schedules a series of plays throughout the year and offers acting workshops, voice and dance classes.

Hawai`i Consortium for the Arts
The Hawai`i Consortium for the Arts is a non-profit service and advocacy organization for the arts. It provides leadership for arts advocacy in Hawai`i and strives to enrich the life of the community through the arts. Hawai`i Opera Theatre

Hawai`i Theatre Center
The historic Hawai`i Theatre Center is located in downtown Honolulu. This beautiful performance center is listed on both the State and National Registers of Historic Places and is a venue for many cultural and educational events.

Honolulu Academy of Arts
The Honolulu Academy of Arts houses one of the largest Pacific/Asian collections in the United States. The Academy offers studio art classes, gallery tours, programs for schools, family activities and a film and performance series.

Honolulu Symphony
Founded in 1900, the Honolulu Symphony is the oldest American orchestra in the west. The Symphony is a major cultural and entertainment resource for the local community and offers many educational opportunities for students.

Honolulu Theater for Youth
The Honolulu Theater for Youth is Hawai`i's only non-profit professional theatre. Their website provides information about the educational opportunities and resources offered for students and their families.

Kahilu Theatre
The Kahilu Theatre is a performing arts center located in Kamuela on the Island of Hawai`i. The theatre offers a full schedule of movies and plays as well as cultural and educational programs.

University of Hawai`i at Manoa Art Gallery
The University of Hawai`i at Manoa Art Gallery is located within the heart of the art building on the University's campus. Professional and student exhibits rotate continually throughout the year.

Art in Public Places Program
The Art in Public Places Programs seeks to strengthen the Hawai`i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts through programs in the performing and visual arts. The website contains information on their programs and activities.

The City and County Department of Parks and Recreation in Hawai`i supports the "LIFE" concept of "Leisure Is For Everyone". Beach Wheelchair Rentals

There are some beaches in Hawai`i where beach wheelchairs are not available. When this is the case, you can rent a beach wheelchair for a small fee. The following inks are Hawai`i-based companies that sell and rent rehabilitative equipment and wheelchairs:

Gammie Home Care
